Looking Local (hereafter referred to as “Looking Local”, “we”, “our” or “us”) is a bespoke digital platform/service provider co-owned by Kirklees Council.

Any personal information provided to or gathered by the Site is controlled by Home Group, 2 Gosforth Park Way, Gosforth Business Park, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, NE12 8ET. Looking Local of 79 High Street, Teddington, Middlesex, TW11 8HG acts as data processor on behalf of the data controller.

This privacy notice tells you what to expect when we collect personal information about visitors to our website. When you supply personal information to My Landlord, you consent to us sharing your information with your local authority and/or housing association to be processed for the purpose of addressing your submitted request. Your local authority and/or housing association may process your personal data to fulfil any legal obligations and for record-keeping.

We can provide details on what personal information we hold once you make a subject access request.

The General Data Protection Regulation gives you the right to obtain:

- Confirmation that your data is being processed

- Access to your personal data

- Other supplementary information.

Under normal circumstances, we will not charge you a fee to provide this information to you. However, we may charge a reasonable fee when a request is unfounded, excessive, or you require further copies of the same information.

We will endeavour to provide you with the information as soon as possible, and no later than within one month of receipt of your request. If your request is complex, we may require a two month extension to complete your request. If this is the case, we will inform you within one month of the receipt of your request to explain why the extension is necessary. We may also ask you to provide evidence to verify your identity.

We will normally retain your personal information for the period necessary to support your ability to use the Site and outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

In accordance with General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to have your personal data corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete. You also have the right to erasure of your personal data.

> Visitors to our websites

We use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details which shows us visitor behaviour on our Site. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be up front about this. We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it.
