Kent Homechoice: The Demise of the Freesheet - April 2010
Kent Homechoice has recently worked with Looking Local to design and print a set of leaflets and a poster to go in a variety of locations across the county to promote the benefits of choice based lettings and how to access it via DiTV and mobile.
One of the main reasons of the campaign was the fact that due to the increased use of online and TV based choice based lettings, Kent Homechoice has dropped the publication of their bi-monthly freesheet promoting the latest properties available. This has led to significant savings as the subscription cost of Looking Local pales in comparison to the cost of 8,000 freesheets a week. Project Manager Alan White said: "Looking Local has become part of the justification for the freesheet's demise, as it gives more vulnerable people and those who are digitally unengaged access to the latest information on a par with the web and other channels."
Key points of this exercise were to explain the benefits of DiTV and mobile as channels, give a visual reference to the different media Looking Local can be accessed on and the clear and concise pathways to the new service.
