Using the search facilty in the Looking Local Starter Kit CMS

There are two ways of carrying out a search in the CMS:

  1. By entering search text in the QUICK SEARCH field in the top right of any CMS screen.  This allows a quick search of the whole CMS and displays the results showing the microsite name and screen name where the match was found.  The search results are displayed on the advanced search which allows additional searches and the ability to use some advanced search functions such as location, channel and search type.
  2. By clicking on the 'ADVANCED SEARCH' link on the top right of any CMS screen.  This will take you straight to the advanced search screen for you to enter your search criteria.

The search results screen also provides full information on what criteria is used for this search facility.  Note that searches are only carried out on published content.
