What is adult social care?

Adult Social care aims to help you live the life you choose by providing support ranging from equipment to practical support with looking after yourself and getting out and about. It can be a short term service to help maintain or regain independence or a range of options to meet longer term, sometimes lifetime needs. These options may include the allocation of a personal budget for you to use to buy the support that is needed.
