Housing Investment Programme
Millions of pounds of investment have been committed by the Council's Cabinet to improve the Council’s Housing Stock.
By April 2015, all housing stock must meet the Scottish Housing Quality Standard, introduced by the Scottish Government back in 2004. The Council is progressing well with the improvement programme and hundreds of tenants are already benefitting from new central heating systems, windows, doors and rendering of their properties. All of these measures have made homes more energy efficient and have in turn reduced energy costs for tenants.
Over the next five years the Council has committed to invest £90m and this means that we will:
